Megan Sercombe
Megan Sercombe is an integrative, trauma-informed counsellor supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges, including anxiety and depression, as well as couples experiencing relationship difficulties and families facing relational challenges.
Megan’s approach is warm, non-judgmental, and genuinely accepting, offering clients a space where they are received exactly as they are in order to support and guide clients to grow, heal, and make their own life choices, while providing the safety, compassion, and clinical support needed to navigate those challenges with confidence.
Megan’s professional journey combines rigorous clinical training with hands-on practice. She holds specialised certifications in the Gottman Method and Prepare and Enrich, which she uses to educate and empower couples with practical tools for communication, conflict resolution, and intimacy. Her trauma-informed approach compassionately addresses the deeper pain often underlying these challenges. She brings crisis counselling expertise from community settings, where she has supported diverse clients navigating anxiety, depression, complex relationship issues, personality disorders, and domestic violence through evidence-based, interventions.
Megan is an integrative counsellor combining different approaches with evidence-based frameworks, including trauma-informed practice (prioritising safety and empowerment), neuroscience therapy (rewiring patterns to foster resilience), attachment-based therapy (building secure connections), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for psychological flexibility and value-driven living.
Megan holds a Master of Counselling from Christian Heritage College, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons. Gottman Methods training level 1 and Prepare and Enrich facilitator. Megan is a certified practitioner with PACFA and CCAA.
