Counsellor

Lili Niu

Lili is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and provides bilingual counselling services in Mandarin and English.

She has a deep commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of the Chinese-speaking community, and has delivered numerous workshops and seminars on parenting, emotional resilience, and mental health literacy across community settings. She also has a particular heart for young adults navigating identity exploration, career crossroads, and relationship challenges.

Lili draws primarily from Narrative Therapy, and creatively incorporates small figures and expressive tools to help clients externalise their emotions, gain clarity, and reconnect with their own strengths. She works collaboratively with each client, believing that they are the experts of their own lives, and that meaningful change emerges from a space of safety, respect, and genuine curiosity.

Lili works with a range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

Her approach is warm, grounded, and insightful. Clients often describe her as a counsellor who holds both deep compassion and quiet wisdom-creating a space where they feel truly heard, understood, and gently empowered to move forward.
