Specialising in Children Counselling

Grace O'Neill

Grace currently works online only from NSW. She is able to provide counselling for children from 10 years old and up. For children younger than this, she is able to provide parental support and guidance via ZOOM.

Grace’s experience in private practice and as a school counsellor since 2005 has enabled her to quickly engage with children and work well in partnership with parents to provide opportunities for growth and development. Grace uses a variety of creative methods to suit the age and personality of each young person. This can include play, story-telling, art or role-play. She also has a special interest in supporting families dealing with food allergies.

Social skills, anxiety management, self-esteem and resilience building are skills that can be learned from a young age. Providing the opportunities for young people to improve any of these aspects can enable them to bounce back from their current difficulties and give them skills to face future challenges with confidence. She also provides support for children through changes in family situations or trauma.
