Jacob has particular interest in adolescent and men’s issues. He is an expert in relationship counselling, work-related issues and education. Magdalen is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker/ Counsellor with demonstrated clinical experience spanning over 20 years in Singapore, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Her past positions have included senior social work/ counselling, management and teaching roles in university, high schools, health and mental health settings. Magdalen completed her undergraduate studies in Social Work and Sociology (Honours) at the National University of Singapore and postgraduate studies (Master of Science in Family Therapy) at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London.

Magdalen adopts an integrative approach to counselling and psychotherapy seeing clients presenting with broad range of psychological, adjustments and relationship issues. For the past 10 years, Magdalen has successfully incorporated Small Figures Work into Interpersonal Therapy in facilitating systemic change in clients’ relational contexts. Trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective and evidence-based psychological treatment for traumas and other mental health issues, Magdalen has special interests in working with trauma and attachment related presentations.

Magdalen works mainly with adolescents and adults and is available for individual, couple and family therapy. Magdalen is available to provide counselling in Mandarin to the Chinese-speaking community.
