Social Action

The term ‘social justice’ generally refers to the idea of creating a society or institution that is based on the principles of equality and solidarity, that understands and values human rights, and that recognizes the dignity of every human being.
CityLife Community care provides an advocacy role, aiming to address policies and systems that can impact individuals and families with financial hardship, unemployment and a range of societal pressures. This service aims to mobilize volunteers to address these social justice issues and develop ways to respond to the needs of the community through a range of strategies including awareness programs, community events and government lobbying.
