Great things come from small promptings. When our Senior Minister at the time, Mark Conner, asked Jill Forbes to investigate how CityLife could start to have a greater impact in our surrounding community only God knew what was to come!
From humble beginnings in 1996 as Chat ‘n Chew a drop-in centre in a shop front in Knoxfield to a warehouse and Opportunity Shop in Parkhurst Drive, to now our main centre in Wantirna South, CLCC’s ministry to individuals and groups has impacted the local community and cities beyond.
CLCC has grown and changed our ministry to meet the many and diverse needs of those around us.
Over these 25 years, we have had an enormous generational impact, blessing tens of thousands of families and individuals by meeting their everyday needs, creating hope and empowering people to thrive. It has been a great privilege for CLCC staff and volunteers as an expression of the heart of God through his church to come alongside people from all walks of life who are going through difficult times and share their joys and tears and give practical and tangible expression to love.
Many of you reading this short tribute, would have been part of the journey – whether you have shared in prayer support, joined us as a volunteer team member, been part of a project, donated food and/or given financially – we want to say THANK YOU!
Jesus said “In as much you have done it to the least of these brothers, you have done it to me” – Matt 25:40
Together we are the church impacting our local community, this city and our nation for Jesus.
Given all that He has done through the work of CLCC in the past 25 years, we are eagerly anticipating what God will do in the next 25 years.
